Life is like a lobster: on the outside it looks horrendous, but if you learn how to crack it right, it's all warm and good inside (As long as you don't eat the green stuff).

Music Infects your head.

Culture is contagious.

Lazy mind and Lazy body produce sloth. Lazy mind and strong body produce a work horse. Strong mind and lazy body produce efficiency. Strong mind and strong body produce miracles.

"You must never run from anything immortal -- it attracts their attention." --The Last Unicorn

"There are no happy endings -- because nothing ever ends." --The Last Unicorn

The dichotomy shows best in animals--sometimes they behave like sentient beings, at others like organic machines with a few simple survival programs explaining every action.  Sometimes light is a particle, sometimes it is a wave.  Man is both a machine and a soul--depending on who's watching.

"To choose order over disorder, or disorder over order, is to accept a trip composed of both the creative and the destructive.  But to choose the creative over the destructive is an all-creative trip composed of both order and disorder." --"The Curse of Grayface and the Introduction of Negativism," Principia Discordia by Malaclypse the Younger, K.S.C. as quoted in Illuminatus! (312)

Forget not your dreams.

"I went through all that nonsensical ritual and raised a demon.  He wasn't a very big demon, but he was as much as I wanted to try to cope with.  The whole secret to raising demons is to confine them in a shape of your imagining rather than their natural form.  As long as you keep them locked in your own conception of them, they have to obey.  If they manage to break loose and return to their real form, you're in trouble." --Belgarath the Sorcerer, David and Leigh Eddings

If I will not be normal, then let me be paranormal.

Paradoxes:

(following are a series of pairs of statements.  The idea is that though they seem to be in opposition, they are both equally true.  Understanding and accepting a paradox is a step toward satori.)

You are not alone :: You are unique

Mankind is a robot :: Mankind is spirit

Go with the flow :: Choose your destiny

'Go not gentle into that good night' :: 'Eat your death'

There is no Magic Feather :: There is no Curse

He who hesitates is lost :: Look before you leap

There are no unselfish acts :: Everyone is good in his own heart

The Web of Destiny was woven before Time :: Each of us must choose his own path

Yuletide is the birth of the Sun :: Yuletide is the longest night of the year

Doubt everything :: Believe in miracles

Nothing is permanent :: Nothing ever ends

There is nothing new under the sun :: All things are unique

All for one :: One for all

We have to believe in our free will; we have no choice in the matter. -- Robert Anton Wilson
