I'll Love You With My Body

I love you with my soul,

Even over great distances, my love is full,

And my heart swells

At the thought of you.

I love you with my mind,

Reason tells me you might be The One,

And my mind grows

When I talk with you.

But these are not all,

Merely the ways I love you from afar,

Yet when I come to you,

There will be another way:

I will love you with my body.

Yours and mine will share a space

Apart from the world,

And by sheer contact

We will electrify our beings,

Empowering the life that flows within,

Charging it,

So that when it can take no more,

And these glowing bodies that house us are no longer enough,

It will escape, burning,

Into the air,

Coating our skin,

Glistening on our lips as we kiss,

Fastening our bodies together as if forever,

And the slippery residue of our coupling

Is love,

And I Will Love You With My Body.

Forever.
