Hey, Hey, Cumulus Cloud
Hey, hey, cumulus cloud,
Are we screaming a bit too loud?
Way up there in the clear, blue sky,
Infinite ephemeral, do you wonder why?
In this brief, momentous flash
Our personalities sometimes clash
Living sometimes becomes a chore
When you don't know what you're looking for
--And there is fear.
Hey, hey, cumulus cloud,
Are we crying a bit too loud?
Way up there in the clear, blue sky,
Drifting, floating, do you wonder why?
In our short earthly existence
We see famine war and violence
So we feel lost, it makes no sense
Helpless born and helpless since
--And there is fear.
Hey, hey, cumulus cloud,
Are we groaning a bit too loud?
Way up there in the clear, blue sky,
Way above us, do you wonder why?
The labor of living is a lot to bear
The burden's too heavy not to share
But we go through life mostly alone
And so we weep, yell and moan
--And, as always, there is fear.
Hey, hey, cumulus cloud,
Are we singing a bit too loud?
Way up there in the clear, blue sky,
Observing us, do you wonder why?
We've finally found more than what we see
We've found love, and life, and WE
No time, no fear, there's no space
And when we die, we leave this place
--There is hope.
